Membership in the Independent Sportsmen’s Club is open to all. NRA membership is a requirement and the possession of some form of Massachusetts firearms ID is encouraged. Applicants are urged to join GOAL (Gun owners Action League of Massachusetts) but that is not a requirement for club membership.

There are three types of memberships. Juniors, age 17 or younger. General, age 18-59, and Senior, age 60 and older.
Note: There are no "group" or "family" memberships. All memberships are indiviual memberships only.
Junior membership is $10 per year, plus a one time initiation fee of $5.
General membership is $160 per year, plus a one time initiation fee of $100.
Senior membership is $120 per year, plus a one time initiation fee of $100.
The General and Senior membership fees are prorated based upon the month when the application is made.
Membership renewal invoices are sent in December, and all members are due for renewal as of January 1st.
There is a "work hours" program where members can volunteer their time over the course of the year. Members may receive a $5 per hour credit for up to 5 hours of time volunteered. Members receiving renewal invoices for the first of the year, will see up to a $25 credit for their service volunteered during the prior year.
Completed applications will only be processed at the monthly Board of Director meetings that are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM.
New applicants are required to attend the meeting and they should arrive 15 minutes early (7:15 PM) with the following items:
* A COMPLETED application form including a signed Release, Waiver of Liability and Indemnification Agreement.
* Proof of a current and valid NRA membership
* Proof of a valid firearms license
* A blank check for the dues and initation fees. (Dues will be prorated depending upon the month of the application. Exact fees will be determined at the meeting).
New applications will then be reviewed by the membership committee and they will be presented to the Board during the meeting.
An application can be downloaded by clicking the "Membership Application Download" link on this page. An application can also be picked up in person at the club's Warm Up House on Wednesday evenings between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm, or on weekends between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
